Welcome to today’s blog hop with Stamping with Friends. Today is all about masculine men. We sometimes do not show them enough that they are loved. The most common day we do is Father’s day, but we must not forget about birthdays, congratulations, and especially just because. This hop is for them.
For this hop, I chose to use Whiskey Business. My husband is a fan of Jack Daniels whiskey, and his favorite is the single barrel, barrel and I get him a bottle of it for his birthday or Father’s day.
I created this card for Father’s day and made more for our team swap this month.
card recipe:
Cajun Craze card base 4-1/4” x 10-1/2” and score 10-1/2″ at 1/2″, 1-3/4”, 3-3/4”, and 5″.
4×4″ and 1-3/4″ x 4″ Night of Navy embossed with an argyle embossing folder. Adhere the 4×4 to the top of the card base. Flip the card base and adhere the 1-3/4″x4″ to the middle section. Flip back over and fold to create the bar shelf and attach to the back with the glue of your choice, I used liquid glue.
Stamp two decanters and one glass onto Basic White in Basic Black ink. My secret ingredient to make them look like the glass is… packing tape. Yes, you read that correctly. Just plain packing tape you can buy anywhere. Just put it over your stamped image and cut it out, no need to heat emboss the whole image, quick and easy. Finally, add a champagne rhinestone to the top of the decanters.
Stamp sentiment in versamark onto Basic Black cardstock and apply white embossing powder. Using a heat gun heat the embossing powder. You will see it change from a dull sheen to a shiny sheen. Punch out using your favorite punch.
Add gold ribbon across the front of the bar shelf and then add the sentiment with dimensionals.
Finally, add the decanters and glass with dimensionals. This card will fold flat for mailing.
