Hello and welcome to our Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. We are a group of demonstrators worldwide, sharing our passion for Stampin’ Up! We post twice a month on the first and third Saturday of the month. Each month a theme, technique, card, color, sketch and more is assigned. If you are new here, “Welcome.” If you are a subscriber, “Welcome back.” We know you will enjoy seeing our beautiful creations.
Today’s blog hop is all about strips of paper. Are you like me and you have these strips of cardstock or DSP and are not sure what to do with them? If you are like me you will put them in a container and let it sit for months on end. Now is the time to get those strips of DSP or cardstock and make a card. Just the other day over on FB, Back Porch Stampers- Karen and Tim Titus were showing different ways to create a card with strips of DSP. These two have so much fun creating!
After watching their video I tried my hand at creating a strip card. It actually turned out better than I thought it would. This would make a great get-well card or a perfect tea party card.

Card Recipe:
Starry Sky Cardstock cut to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4.” Another piece of Starry Sky 4″ x 5 1/4″ (your strips will be placed here.)
Variety of strips of Tea Boutique DSP 1″ x 6.”
begin placing two strips of your choice sort of down the middle, then add other strips down the sides (see picture for reference.)
Flip over and trim the excess that is overhanging off.
Now add it to the card base.
Next, punch a heart out of Tahitian Tide and pop dot it up in the center. Die-cut a tea cup and then stamp the sentiment in Parakeet Party in the center. Stamp a lemon in and die cut it out also. Now cut a small slit in the lemon and place it on the teacup (see picture for reference.)
Pop up the teacup over the center of the heart. Add some of the Parakeet Party bakers twine and tie it into a bow at the top of the card, finally add three rhinestones.
Now let’s hop on over to Sue Vine and see what she has created.
