Welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop! We’re a collective of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the globe, dedicated to sharing our passion with you. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to ignite your creativity and inspire you to embark on your own crafting journey. Every month, we’re tasked with exploring a specific technique, ranging from watercolor and Stampin’ blends to various forms of embossing, ribbons, designer series paper, and innovative folds. The possibilities are truly limitless.
This month we are using Designer Series Paper (DSP) for our technique. There are so many possibilities to use DSP as a technique. It was a challenging time trying to decide what I wanted to do. I recently bought a quilt for a baby shower, and I decided that is what I wanted to create. Now to find a quilt pattern that would fit on a card, so off to the internet to find inspiration and I sure did. I found a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator on Facebook:
Julie Heitz of The Chirpy Cardmaker of Quilts and more
and oh, the quilt cards are beautiful! She teaches you how to use punches to create quilt pieces and so much more! If you love quilting, then you will love her.
I found the Spinning Stripy Quilt card she created, and I re-created it using the Fresh as a Daisy bundle. It looks complicated but it is quite simple.

This card uses both sides of the DSP in two different sizes for the pattern. This is a fantastic way to show off the DSP. Stamped the sentiment in Boho Blue, the same as the flower in the center. Using a sponge dauber to dab the center of the flower in Wild Wheat and added several of the In Color Wild Wheat dots to finish off the card. I hope you have enjoyed this card as much as I did to create it.
Now let’s head on over to Melva Peter’s of Stamping with Melva to see what surprises she has for us.
