Hello and welcome to our Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. We are a group of demonstrators worldwide, sharing our passion for Stampin’ Up! We post twice a month on the first and third Saturday of the month. Each month a theme, technique, card, color, sketch and more is assigned. If you are new here, “Welcome.” If you are a subscriber, “Welcome back.” We know you will enjoy seeing our beautiful creations.

The card I am highlighting today is a slimline card highlighting the Earthen Elegance Suite and is created with just one sheet of 8-1/2″ x 11″ cardstock.

Instructions to create the card:

1. Cut off a strip that is 3/4″ wide on the 8-1/2″ side of the cardstock, this piece will be the belly band. With the 10-1/4″ at the top of the scoreboard, score at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″, 4-3/4″, and 7″. Fold and burnish the folds.
2. Take a piece of designer series paper and cut it to 7″ x 8-1/4.” With the 7″ at the top cut the paper into strips. You need two 1″ strips and two 2″ strips and then there should be 1″ left over. These need to be cut in this order so the strips will flow in the same order.
3. A piece of Basic White 3″ x 8-1/4″ for sentiment and adhere to the last section with adhesive.
4. Adhere the designer series strips to each section with adhesive.
5. Wrap the belly band around and adhere the ends together. Be sure it is not too tight; you want to slide off easily.
6. Die-cut or punch a piece of cardstock to cover the belly band. Add die-cut/punch pieces and or sentiment to the belly band.
7. If you want a sentiment on the inside, you can add one.
8. Finally add some ribbon, trim or twine to the belly band and tie into a bow.
