Welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop! We’re a collective of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the globe, dedicated to sharing our passion with you. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to ignite your creativity and inspire you to embark on your own crafting journey. Every month, we’re tasked with exploring a specific technique, ranging from watercolor and Stampin’ blends to various forms of embossing, ribbons, designer series paper, and innovative folds. The possibilities are truly limitless.
Today’s blog hop theme is vintage. Since today is my country’s 4th of July celebration, I felt a vintage flag fit the theme.
To create a vintage-looking flag, the watercolor paper would be perfect to create a vintage card.

I used Night of Navy, Real Red, White Craft ink, and Pecan Pie. I started with the Night of Navy, added some white dots to represent the stars, and then add the Real Red stripes. With the Pecan Pie watered down, I started brushing it all over the flag. I dried it with a heat gun and then added more of the watered-down Pecan Pie and continued this process till I got the look I loved. Using the Alphabet A La Mode dies for the “July 4” and adhered them with multipurpose glue. Next, I adhere the watercolor paper to a piece of thick Basic White. Lastly I took a sponge dauber and went around the edges with Pecan Pie. I love it and hope you get the watercolor paper out and try your hand at creating a vintage card.
Now on to the next blog hopper.
