This card is as bright and cheery as a rainbow in a jellybean factory! It’s perfect for any occasion, whether it’s for inviting the neighbors to a block party or just reminding them that you’re the life of the party. Speaking of block parties, remember the good ol’ days when we’d gather once a year and bring enough food to feed a small army? Ah, the memories of trying to figure out who made that delicious potato salad. Good times!
This card highlights a watercolor effect without the hassle of actual water. Who knew you could achieve watercolor magic without the mess?
Here are the steps to create this card-
Start with Real Red cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″.
Add a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Parakeet Party cardstock to the card base with multipurpose glue.
Next, take a piece of the Sunny Days DSP and cut it to 6″ x 6″. Now cut it down to 3-3/4″ x 5″ and adhere to the card front. Take the leftover piece and cut it down to 2-1/4″ x 5.” Flip this piece over and adhere to left side of DSP.
Stamp the melon and rinds in Parakeet Party, stamp the watermelons in Sweet Sorbet, lining them up close to their rinds . Punch out with punch and fussy cut the rest. Optional, stamp seeds in Basic Black. This one is a seedless watermelon. I forgot the seeds😆.
Add dimensionals to the melon pieces and adhere to left. See photo for reference.
Using Nested Essentials dies, die cut square and stamp sentiment in Basic Black. Add to the card front with multipurpose glue.
