We all have that one pair of favorites jeans, the one that after many wearing’s and washings that become your most favorite and comfortable.

Choosing the DSP for the denim card, noticing that the patterns in the Country Lace DSP also had the denim style. Upon further looking at the DSP, finding that the Wildly Flowering DSP patterns would work also. Now to figure out the design of the card. Eventually found page 22 of the catalog that there were card sketches. Looking closely at them, I found this one to be eye-catching.

(You can go HERE to download the sketches for FREE and additionally you can go to the top of the blog, click on Free Card Sketches and download from there. There are 22 sketches to help inspire your next crafting journey.)
The Final Result
Here is the card and loved how it turned out!

Step-by-Step instructions:
- Begin with a piece of Basic White cardstock cutting it to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4.” Set this aside.
- Pick out six (three of each different pattern) pieces from the Country Lace and Wildly Flowering DSP and cut them down to 1″ x 3/4.”
- Next, arrange your pieces in a staggered fashion to determine the desired placement of each pattern on the front of your card. Once satisfied with the arrangement, use liquid adhesive to attach each piece to the card front. Then, set it aside.
- For alternative card ideas:
- Apply Crumb Cake or Pecan Pie to distress the edges for a vintage, worn effect.
- Create a distressed look by tearing the edges.
- For a more pronounced distressed look, tear the edges and then use Crumb Cake or Pecan Pie ink pad to further distress them.
- For alternative card ideas:
- Taking another piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp your sentiment of choice (I used the Country Birdhouse stamp) in Pebbled Path ink. Next, take the Spotlight on Nature Dies and using the largest die (see diagram A below.) Adhere to the card front with three dimensionals.
- Now taking the tear and tape, place a strip of it across the front of the card (see photo for placement.)
- Now take an 8″ piece of the White 1/4″ Diagonal ribbon and tie a bow. Remove the tear and tape backing and center the bow and run the ribbon along the tape and cut of any excess ribbon that may be left hanging over the edge of the sides of the card. Finish the card by adding three of the adhesive-backed birds.
