This week is all about Round We Go bundle. These cards are perfect for birthday cards, party invitations, and other celebrations. We are also combining this bundle with the Abundance of Beauty Designer Series Paper or DSP for short.

This first card for this week is for the person who loves Pink. It also features a pink plaid DSP from Lily Pond Lane. This would also make a great invitation card for a birthday party or baby shower.

The Round We Go bundle showcases several dies, and one of these dies is the highlight of them. The stamp set features many designs and sentiments perfect for any occasion.

Round We Go has Rosettes! Do you love making them, do you hate using the hot glue gun?

Most crafters use hot glue to create their rosettes. I used to until I found an easier and quicker way to do them. I use Fabri Tac Glue to create my rosettes. You will find this to be much easier and quicker than the hot glue. Bonds great especially on the glimmer cardstock. It is definitely a game changer!

By using this glue, you can create many different rosettes in less time and without the hassle of heating up the glue gun.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Begin by taking a piece of Basic White cardstock and trimming it down to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, then score it at 4-1/4″. Additionally, cut another piece from Basic White cardstock measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″ and firmly adhere it to the front of the card base using liquid glue.
  2. Cut a sheet of the Lily Pond Lane DSP to 5″ x 3-3/4″ and adhere it to the card base.
  3. Take a quarter piece of the 2024-2026 Pretty In Pink glimmer paper and y cut it down to 5″ x 2″. Gently adhere it to the center of the DSP using liquid glue. Then, cut a piece of gold foil to 1″ x 5″ and neatly cut it in half. Adhere each piece above and below the Pretty In Pink glimmer paper using liquid glue. Set Aside.

Creating the Rosette

  1. Now we will create our rosette by die cutting two pieces of the Abundance of Beauty DSP by adhering one end to the other with liquid glue. Start accordion fold on all the score lines and then adhering the ends together. Die cut a piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock with the scalloped circle die. Place Fabri-Tac glue in the center and then place your rosette over this and set a block or ink pad on top to hold into place. Set aside.
  2. Next, we stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Black ink and the small flower/starburst in Pretty In Pink ink onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. We then die-cut the flower starburst with the pinking edged circle, and fussy cut out the sentiment with scissors.
  3. Taking a small piece of Pretty In Pink cardstock, die cut the small flower/starburst and adhere this to the Pretty In Pink stamped image with liquid glue. Now die cut from the Pretty In Pink glimmer paper a small circle and adhere this to the center of the flower/starburst with liquid glue.

Putting it all together

  1. Now we will adhere the piece from step six to the rosette by adding a small dab of Fabri-Tac glue and then next cut a piece of 6″ Pretty In Pink ribbon and adhere to the back of the rosette with a dot of Fabri-Tac glue.
  2. Finally add the rosette to the card front with Fabri-Tac glue. This glue is perfect for glimmer paper, it bonds well with the surface of the glimmer paper.
  3. Add the sentiment to the top right corner with Dimensionals.
  4. Finally add three of the Dots For Days dots to the card. Look at how beautiful this card is.

Come back tomorrow to see the next card in the series.
