Welcome to the Crafty Collaborations monthly Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. We are demonstrators from around the world. Bringing you creative ideas to use with your paper pumpkin kit to create other cards and more.

Today I will share the kit cards as they were designed to be created. Then I will show you my creative ideas you can re-create with this month’s kit.

This month’s Paper Pumpkin arrived in the most gorgeous box, and when I opened it, there were tons of super cute goodies inside!

Here is a little sneak peek, showing the stamp set and envelopes. Here are the envelopes and stamp set from the kit Painted Petals. Now, let us get to the cards.

I will be showing you the precise way to create the cards according to their instruction sheet, along with two alternative methods.

Painted  Petals- Original design
Let’s celebrate you
I’m so lucky to have you in my life
Friends like you make life beautiful

The Painted Petals watercolor background gives the card a soft tone with a bit of splashed color to highlight. By adding the elements this will give the card its depth.  Nether less, by adding some sequins and a sentiment to finalize the cards to bring more of their beauty out.

No need to stick to the original design. Let’s take it up a notch by implementing subtle improvements.

PAINTED PETALS ALTERNATIVE IDEA #1

For  alternative Painted Petals cards, it is actually quite simple. By placing the card on the scoreboard, you will just score on the solid color side at 2-1/8″. You will fold on the scoreline, and you have now created a simple fun fold for the Painted Petals cards. See the examples below. Decorate them somewhat the same way, just repositioning your adhesive on other areas of the elements.

Now the outside and the inside of the cards are just as beautiful. Adding a subtle change, enhanced the cards even more. Now, let us move on to the second alternative idea.

PAINTED PETALS ALTERNATIVE IDEA #2

For these Painted Petals cards, we will be using cardstock and dies to create the cards. Chose to use the Countryside Corners Dies. Two of the designs in the cards are similar to them.

I cut the cards in half and using the larger die, I die cut from the colored side. I went one size down and lined my die to ensure I would get most of the watercolor image in the center, I die cut it out.

To finish the cards, add the elements and sequins. Look at how lovely the cards are.

Which ones did you love the most? Original, Alternative #1 or Alternative #2? Leave me a comment as to which is your favorite.
