Welcome to our exciting folds blog hop! We are a dynamic group of demonstrators from around the globe. We proudly showcase our projects and our passion for Stampin’ Up!

Lock and Slide Fun Fold

I had been wanting to create a lock and slide card and felt this would be the perfect time. It is quite simple and such a cute card. I am using the More Than Autumn bundle and the Iconic Imagery Designer Series Paper for my card.

Measurements

Cardstock

  • Wild Wheat Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 2-1/8″ on both ends.
  • Two of each Wild Wheat and Basic White (slider mechanism) squares 3″ x 3″. Fold the Basic White pieces in half.
  • Basic White for inside layer 5-1/4″ x 4″.

Designer Series Paper-Iconic Imagery

  • Two pieces 5-3/8″ x 2″ for outside flaps
  • One 4″ x 1″ for inside

Instructions

  • Fold and burnish the card base.
  • Adhere the two DSPs to each of the card flaps.

Creating the Mechanism

  • Adhere the two folded Basic White pieces to one of the 3″ x 3″ Wild Wheat squares. Make sure the folds face each other. Use multipurpose liquid glue or seal +.
  • Adhere the other Wild Wheat piece over the top folded pieces. The slide should look like the pictures below.
  • Slide the mechanism onto the flaps. Stamp and decorate as desired. You add other shapes over the slider if you wish.
  • Add embellishments as desired. I used the Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments, Gold Woven Leaves, and Wild Wheat Ribbon. Die-cut the sentiment from Basic White and the word “Autumn” is stamped in Mossy Meadow ink.

Finished Card

I hope you will give this simple Lock and Slide a try. Would love to hear what you created. Leave me a comment about it.

Now let us hop on over to our next demonstrator to see what they have created.
