My Card
I just love the quilt designs. A handmade quilt makes a home so warm and inviting. Do you love a handmade quilt?
My great grandma Peek and my mother made quilts. Grandma Peek was partially blind. She had eye surgery on both of hers, and unfortunately, she ended up blind. But that never stopped her. It was amazing to watch her feel every stitch she made.
My mother made quilts, and each one was unique. Unfortunately, they were lost in the tornado.
Each time, Stampin’ Up! has a quilt stamp set. I get them because of all the fond memories. So here is my take on quilting.
Quilt Card Tutorial
- Basic White Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
- Red dotted dsp 4″ x 5-1/4″
- Garden Green strip 2″ x 5-1/4″
- DSP Layer of choice 1-3/4″ x 5-1/4″
- Peaceful Pine Ink for sentiment
- Scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock for sentiment
- Button embellishments
- Ribbon
- Adhesive of choice
- Adhere DSP to cardbase with adhesive.
- Add DSP to Garden Green strip.
- Wrap ribbon across the center of strip and adhere ends down with tape or glue dots.
- Now add this piece to center of card.
