I will be showcasing fall projects featuring sunflowers, farmhouse patterns, dimensional fun folds, and the Fun for Fall Bundle from the new holiday catalog. A Sunny Sunflower Front

Sunflowers make a project feel cheerful and beautiful, especially if it is a fun fold. This card I am showing today is a Gatefold Explosion Card.

The front of my card starts with a Crushed Curry card base and is layered with Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper and an Old Olive mat. The sentiment, “So Thankful for You,” sits on a Basic White Beautifully Celebrated Die cut label stamped in Cajun Craze ink. The greeting stands out without hiding the sunflower pattern.

Open it for the WOW

When you open this card, the side panels reveal more of the sunflower paper and a dramatic diamond-shaped Very Vanilla message panel layered on the Old Olive panel. The patterned background and angled folds turn the inside into a display all on its own.

Finishing Touches

Adding in a bow with the Mossy Meadow and Very Vanilla 1/4″ Ribbon add a farmhouse texture, while the Gold Adhesive-Backed Dots bring in the right touch of shine.

  • With the 8-1/2″ at the top- score at 2-1/8″ on each side.
• Old Olive Mat Layer Front
  • 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
  • 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ square center layer
• Basic White Inside Square Center Layer
  • 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″
• Designer Series Paper
  • 8″ x 4″ – score at 2″, 4″, and 6″ – fold the ends in an X (explosion part, see diagram below)
  • 2-1/2″ x 4″ for Old Olive Layer on card front
