Pears are a sweet, delicious fruit that can stay fresh for a long time, especially in cool weather. They are a favorite around the holidays. Christmas time is when pears will be in fruit baskets and the 12 Days of Christmas mentions pears in a song, “On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree.” Lol! Are you singing this song? Are you fond of pears? Like them in a cobbler? The daughter makes an excellent gluten-free pear cobbler, so sweet and delicious!

Today I am highlighting the Fruitful Blessing bundle. This bundle is perfect for the autumn season and beyond. This bundle features two acorns, two floral, two pears, and greenery with three sentiments in the stamp set plus a matching die set. With the line art images, you can custom color each image using your favorite color mediums.

Using the pair image, gave this card a country feel to it with its woodgrain and Inked Botanicals designer series paper.

Next the gold and brown tones of Wild Wheat-Crushed Curry and Early Espresso “pear” well with this card (did you catch the pun? Lol!)

Next, add some Shaded Spruce to the leaves to give it a highlight to the card to stand out without overtaking the rest of the card, and finally add some brown neutral adhesive-backed sequins to finish the card.

Supplies and steps for this card:

  • Crushed Curry Cardstock
  • Early Espresso Cardstock
  • Wild Wheat Cardstock
  • Basic White Cardstock
  • Inked Botanicals DSP
  • All About Autumn DSP
  • Momento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad
  • Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends
  • Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Marker
  • Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blends
  • Scalloped Contours Dies
  • Country Wreaths Dies
  • Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Multipurpose glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine

Step-by-step

  1. Cut the crushed curry cardstock to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and score at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″ and burnish folds.
  2. Cut all about autumn wood grain dsp to 2″ x 4″ and adhere to the front of the 2-1/8″ fold (see photos.)
  3. Cut a piece of the crushed curry dsp from the inked botanicals 5-1/4″ x 4″ for the inside of the card and 2-5/8″ x 3-7/8″ for the inside of the early espresso piece.
  4. Adhere the inked botanical piece to the inside of the card. Now cut a piece of basic white cardstock to 5″ x 3-3/4″ and adhere it over the dsp.
  5. Take the second from the largest scalloped contour die and die-cut a piece from early espresso. Adhere this to the card front flap with dimensionals only on half of the side. Now adhere the dsp with multipurpose glue.
  6. Die cut a wreath from Wild Wheat. Stamp the pears in the black ink. Color the pears with dark lemon lolly blends. Highlight the pears with dark wild wheat. Color the leaves in shaded spruce. and die-cut it out.
  7. Using dimensionals, add the pears to the wreath and then add the wreath to the dsp on the scalloped contour piece with dimensionals also.
  8. Lastly, add three neutral adhesive-backed sequins to the card front. If you wish you can stamp a sentiment on the inside.

Now how fun is this card to create! Leave me a comment on how you loved this tutorial.
