Indian corn is beautiful in October and November. The colors of Indian corn can be a single color in shades of white, red, blue, and black or a rainbow of colors with red, blue, gold, and orange. True Indian corn is blue, and it comes from the Hopi Indians.

Indian corn can be eaten and popped just like popcorn, but most people choose to use it as an ornamental decor item by displaying them with other items such as straw bales, pumpkins, and etcetera, or by hanging them from doors in groups of three, or on a wreath.

This brings us to today’s project, a gift bag perfect for Autumn season parties. Table gift filled with Werther’s candy such as caramel apple, pumpkin spice, maple creme, or cinnamon creme perfect for the Autumn season. It will also hold a gift card to say thank you to a friend in need during this season. This would also be perfect for Thanksgiving!

  1. To create this bag, I used the Tricks & Treats gift bag die from the set to die cut from Early Espresso. Also used the die for the bag holes to add the ribbon handle.
  2. I then embossed it with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Using the 2-3/8″ circle punched it from the Oxidized Copper Specialty paper and popped it up with dimensional in the center of the bag.
  3. Using the Fruitful Blessings dies, I die-cut the corn bases from Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry, and Very Vanilla. The tops of them are die-cut from Real Red, Crushed Curry, and Pecan Pie. Adhered them together in this order:
    • Real Red over the Blackberry Bliss
    • Crushed Curry over the Crushed Curry
    • Pecan Pie over the Very Vanilla
  4. Using Stampin’ Blends light-dark Pecan Pie and light-dark Cherry Cobbler, I flicked the color over the Crushed Curry Indian corn.
  5. I then cut three corn stalks in Wild Wheat, and using a blending brush with Wild Wheat ink, colored over the stalks to bring out the embossed image. Adhered each corn stalk with multipurpose glue to each corn and then adhered the corn to the bag with dimensional.
  6. Add the 8″ burlap ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo pack for the handles (optional: if you wish not to die cut the holes, you can use a hole punch or a mini-small clothespin to close the bag.)
  7. Take a piece of linen thread to add a bow to the corn and adhere with a glue dot.
  8. Finally, add three of the brown Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins to finish the gift bag and give it to someone or set it on a table for the table gift.

There are so many possibilities with the Frutiful Blessings. What would you create?
