Easter is such a special time of the year, and this year, on March 31st, it’s going to be amazing in the USA! In my hometown of Milford Center, OH, the local Trinity Chapel is preparing an extraordinary Easter KIDS event on Saturday, March 23rd from 10am to 12pm. Just imagine the joy on the children’s faces as they engage in crafts, games, and receive a BIBLE lesson before enjoying a delightful lunch from 12 to 12:30 pm. After that, they’ll head over to the Bicentennial Park for the thrilling Easter Egg HUNT at 1pm. Oh, the memories flood back – when I was a child, my mom used to take us Easter clothes shopping, and it was such a heartwarming time with our loved ones. It’s incredible to think about the fun we had, from the Easter egg hunting to spending time with family and friends. One family would host the event in the morning, and the other in the evening – such cherished moments! Do you have any fond memories of Easter with your family? Leave me a comment, I would love to know more about your family traditions.

This brings us to our Easter hop. I bought the Easter Lilies bundle to create Easter cards. The images and verses are special. I know most Lilies are white, but after much searching on the internet I have found that they do come in other bright and beautiful colors.

My card features the Perennial Lavendar Designer Series Paper along with the Easter Lilies bundle.

Steps to create this card:

  1. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and score at 4-1/4″.
  2. Cut a piece of the Perennial Lavender DSP 6″ x 6″. Cut this down to 4″ x 5-1/4″. You should have two pieces left over.
  3. Take the 4″ x 5-1/4″ and adhere to card base front. Next take the large piece you have left over and adhere to card base front also (see photo for placement).
  4. Take the small strip you have and adhere it to the inside leaving a small gap at the bottom. Cut off the excess overhang.
  5. Using Mossy Meadow, stamp the palm on the right inside above the strip and stamp only half of the palm.
  6. Stamp the sentiment in Pebbled Path on the inside center.
  7. Now we will die cut the Lily in Fresh Fressia cardstock (see diagram A below for the lily dies to use). Die-cut the Pistal (center) of the Lily in Lemon Lolly cardstock. Using Calypso Coral ink, ink the Pistal tips to give it a slight orange color.
  8. Start putting the Lily together, lay piece #1 down, add the #2 piece, lining the center of #1 in between #2 and add adhesive. Now add the Pistal and then add piece #3 over the Pistal and adhere with adhesive (the lip of the Lily of #3 are to face downward).
  9. Take a piece of Basic White and swipe Mossy Meadow all over it. Die cut three leaves and glue them down (see photo for placement). Add the Lily with a dimensional over the leaves.
  10. Finally add one of each of the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems (Berry Burst, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather, see photo for placement).

I hope you have enjoyed this card as much as I did creating it. Now let us head on over to our next demonstrator to see what project they have created for this hop.
