This week’s blog posts are featuring the Bistro Burger bundle. This set is great for the Backyard BBQ connoisseur, for party invites and for those who love to cook outdoors. Do you love to grill or cook over an open fire. We love to cook over an open fire when we have family and friends over. When it is just us, we use the grill and our favorite food we love to grill is chicken and then lightly coat it with Italian dressing or BBQ sauce.

Today’s card is highlighting a fun fold, stair step. Stair step cards are great for featuring several elements in the card. Here you see it is featuring several hamburgers along with a few cheeseburgers. This card is also showing a technique of using Stampin’ Blends. The colors used for the burgers are as follows:

Pecan Pie for bun, Deep Blends for hamburger, Shy Shamrock for lettuce, Peach Pie for Cheese, Poppy Parade for tomatoes, Granny Apple Green for pickles.

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Start with a piece of Real Red cardstock cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and score at 4-1/4″.
  2. Next starting at the bottom of the cardstock, take your cutting blade and put it on the 1-1/4″ line and cut up to 6-1/8″.
  3. Turn the cardstock to the right. Now place the score blade on the 1-1/4″ line and score up, then score at 2″, next at 3-1/8″, the 4-1/4″ should already be scored, and then finally at the 6-1/8″ (See diagram A.)
  4. Now you will start to fold on the score lines, creating mountains and valleys. The mountains should be the 1-1/4″, 3-1/8″ and 6-1/8″, the valleys should be the 2″ and the 4-1/4″.
  5. Die cut a tray from silver foil and adhere to card base front. Next a two of the burgers by sliding them into the slits of the tray and using dimensionals to hold them in place. Add more burgers to each of the other mountain folds.
  6. Die cut a knife from silver foil and the handle from Early Espresso. Adhere the two pieces together and slide into the top of the bun. There is a slit in the bun for this.
  7. Now stamp the sentiment in Tuxedo Memento Black ink and then cut it out into a square or rectangle shape and adhere to the card base left side over the bun.
  8. Finally add three Adhesive-Backed Transparent Dots.
