This next card from the Bistro Burger bundle is sort of a salute to the old fashion diners. When I was growing up, we had one called HOH which stood for House of Hamburger in Marysville, Ohio. They had the best burgers around, unfortunately I have searched the internet and cannot find any photos of the place.
I remember the diner had a red and white theme to it and did I mention the hamburgers were the best! Now on to the card that is sort of honoring the HOH!
Step-by-step instructions
- Start with a piece of Basic White cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4.”
- Take a piece of Real Red cardstock and cut it into 2″ x 4″ strips and Basic White into strips also. Now weave them into a red and white checkered pattern. Be sure to glue them down to each other.
- Now cut down the checkered pattern down then adhere to card front and then cut off any excess overhang.
- Stamp the hamburger and fries and color them in (see previous posts for coloring these in.)
- Stamp the sentiment in the top right corner at an angle in Tuxedo Memento Black ink.
- Finally add three of the Earth Tones Adhesive-Backed Dots.
