For this card, it is designed to represent a quilt. Quilts are the most comfortable and prettiest on a bed. My grandmother has beautiful ones we used when we visited. I always enjoyed going there to see my grandparents. They lived up in the head of a holler, and my grandpa played banjo. Those were the days, oh how I miss them.
My great-grandmother, on my dad’s side, made me my first quilt. She had stitched every piece. My mother got it not long after I was born. I cherish it, and it has seen its better days. It just hangs in my bathroom.

Here is the card created to represent a quilt.

Step-by-Step instructions:
- Start with a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4.”
- Next, find any scraps of DSP left from previous cards.
- Start layering them on the card front and trim down any that may need it. Leave a slight gap between the pieces. Once you like the desired placement, start adhering them down (this is a great way to use up scraps of DSP).
- Die cut circle from Basic White cardstock using Spotlight on Nature Dies and adhere to card front.
- Using tear and tape. Place a strip across the front above the die cut circle. Tie a bow from the white diagonal ribbon. Be sure to leave long tails. Center the bow over the tape and adhere ribbon done. Cut off any excess.
- Next, find the word “HOWDY” from the Saying Something Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and adhere across the Basic White die cut.
- Finally, add three of the Basic Gray and Smokey Slate pearls to the card.
